Divi Slick Slider/Carousel Module Plugin
This weeks plugin is a Divi version of the excellent ‘Slick’ jQuery plugin written and released by Ken Wheeler. I have converted a lot of the options into a nice little Carousel plugin for Divi/Extra (Divi Builder based sites). I’ve written some custom layouts for the slides and integrated style selectors. I’ll do a video on it later this week on Elegant Marketplace as usual. For those who would like to read up on it and see more screenshots please see the product page here
Hi Sean, I have the ET Slick Carousel modules loaded as a plugin on my WordPress site and I see nowhere a possibility even in the Divi Builder an make any adjustment. What did I do wrong?. I need your help please. Excuse my bad English. Kind regards Ulamae from Germany
Hi Ulamae,
Thanks for the message. The slick slider is a module so it should appear in the divi builder. If you’d like to email me a login to your site I can take a look for you.. But there will be a module there for certain

Hi Sean, I have just purchased your plugin. It looks promising.
I want to use it to make a carousel of testimonials. Please take a look at this image:

So (in fact) I want to place three modules (testimonials) in this carousel module. Is this possible? If yes, please explain. Thanks in advance!
Hi.. yep this can be done. Just select slides to show to be 3 and slides to move to be 1. Then enter your text in the wysiwyg for each slide you want to add. If you want the testimonial image then you can include it as the slide image or just use css.. (latter probably easier).

Hi do you have a video demo on this, I would like to use a carousel slider for my blog posts. Will I be able to post the image, type in the title, and add a read more button?
No but it’s just a module. Install and activate as normal and the settings are all self contained. If you need any help with it once you’ve bought it let me know via email or if you have any more questions get in touch and i’ll help as best as I can.
Hello,
Is it possible to change the number of carousel items based on viewport/device? I.e. Show 4 desktop, 2 in mobile states etc?
Thanks,
Hi Matt,
Yep you can now (as of V1.6). I have added a developers filter to allow you to add some basic code to your functions.php (child theme) to edit any of the Js init elements you want. I couldn’t add them as settings to the builder though sadly as the config is too complex for most people. Easier if developers do it. Would you like some sample code or are you ok if I just say that it’s a filter and the array is passed to ‘sb_divi_module_slick_js_init’
thanks
Sean
Hi Sean,
That’s great.
We’d take a code sample.
Thanks.
Hi Sean,
Could i too please get a code sample or documentation?
Thanks
No problem.. See this site: http://docs.tortoise-it.co.uk/sb-slick-slider-module/
Hi,
I just puchased this module/plugin. How can I have a hover effect (opacity) on an image?
Thanks for the purchase, you’d need to use CSS to do that. Use the CSS opacity attribute which will do it 🙂
HI, I need a carousel of audio modules rather than images – can your plugin do this?
Thanks
Yep as long as the audio players are shortcode based then you can use the content slides and then include your shortcodes, text and any images as normal. It should work fine 🙂
Hi Sean,
I purchased your module but cannot figure out how to create the carousel showing thumbnail images instead of dots underneath the actual image.
Sorry for my ignorance, can you please help?
Thanks
Aniko
It’s not possible to show images instead of dots. Is this for Woo or the normal carousel? If Woo then the carousel itself provides the gallery items and you can add a class to show them, when clicked, in the main product image of the page
Hi Sean – I have this plugin and am looking to create a post (category) driven slider. The only two modules I see are the SB Slick Carousel and the SB Slick Carousel (WooCommerce.) Unless I am missing something, the Slick Carousel seems to only allow me to build from slides. Is there a way (or something missing) where I can select a post category(s) to generate the slider content? I am trying to find something similar to the “Extra” theme’s Carousel Post Slider module. Thanks, man!
Yep you can. Grab the latest version of course. It’s called the Slick Loop Archive I think. Contact me if you need more help with it. Happy to advise
Hi. I love your plugin! It works great as an image carousel. However, I can’t get it to work with featured woocommerce products. It doesn’t seem to pull anything into the page. What can I do?
Hi, is there a way to change the image size? The carousel makes them so small. Also, is there a way to crop them the same size (similar how metaslider does “smart crop”) Thanks.
The image sizes can be configured although it depends on how many are in view at a time and how many cols there are. In short yes but it’s based on your site really
Hi Sean – I have the latest version of this plugin and am looking to create a post (category) driven slider. I’m trying to use the Slick Loop Archive to do this but cannot for the life of me figure it out. Unless I am missing something, Is there a way where I can select a post category(s) to generate the slider content? I am trying to find something similar to the “Extra” theme’s Carousel Post Slider module just like BRYAN R DIAS.
Cheers
Hi Timmy,
This video may help:
It’s a little more awkward but only because it’s designed to work with any taxonomy.. not just categories 🙂

Thanks sean I’ll have a look now and get back to you if I need any more help.
